Workshop "Mudança e Troca Cultural na Sociedade Contemporânea"

Este workshop reuniu um grupo de pessoas que trabalharam intensamente durante dois dias e dele resultou uma excelente situação de formação. Não é frequente conseguir-se uma articulação tão feliz de aprendizagens teóricas com toda uma série de actividades expressivas de tão alta qualidade.
Aconteceram, neste workshop, vivências e análises várias de relações entre culturas que constituiram um contexto transgressivo e crivativo sobre o qual se trabalharam problemáticas de histórias de vida.

Activities:

Session 1
What is life story? How do we begin to construct one?
•Introductions, ice breakers and ground rules
•Content –an overview of the structure of the workshop
•Life story as a tool for social research: methodology and methods
•Practising the construction of life stories: presentations of artefacts


Session 2
Life story exemplified. From life story artefacts to critical analysis of life story
•What are life story data? How are they generated? How are the data handled and analysed?
•Validity, reliability and objectivity - what do we mean? What are the challenges?
•Reviewing self in relation to structures
•Practising generating life story data: the life story interview


Session 3
Adventuring with life story: re-membering, transgressing, envisioning, enacting
•Practising the use of family trees – poster presentations
•The persistence of memory – social remembering
•The ‘transgressive’ – emotions, dreams, emancipation: the importance of art and performance in science
•Critical review of agency


Session 4
Communicating through life story
•Practising the presentation of life story projects
•Critical reviews of selves with the world Planning for further life story research
